With the arrival of summer and extreme hot weather in Hong Kong, Paul Y. has taken immediate action to implement preventive and control measures against heat stress to reduce the risk of heat stroke and other heat-related illnesses on our project sites. Heat prevention booths were set up to give front-line workers useful tips for preventing heat stroke and to distribute cold drinks to remind them of the need to stay hydrated under the scorching sun and in hot weather.
In addition, other heat stress relief measures are being implemented, such as promotion to enhance awareness of the risks of heat stress, rest areas, movable water stations, solar fans, shower cubicles, etc.
We strive at all times to improve conditions on our projects to ensure the health and safety of our people.
