Building

Paul Y. Engineering has built many of Hong Kong’s most prominent landmarks. We are among the pioneers in skyscraper construction in Hong Kong. The Group has the technology and expertise to meet the many new challenges that arise in the world of construction. We have provided leadership by proactively exploring the concept of modularization and environmentally friendly construction methods. Many of our innovations have been widely acclaimed.
 

We have also completed major projects that successfully combined advanced construction techniques with sophisticated industrial technology, all within a tight timeframe.


Paul Y. Engineering is experienced in key construction techniques including super high-rise steel-frame construction, deep transfer structures using high-grade concrete, post-tensioned pre-stressing systems, semi-mechanized formwork, mechanized jump-form systems, precast concrete elements, as well as advanced curtain wall systems. The Group is well qualified to deliver turnkey solutions.


Civil Engineering


Our world-class track record includes major tunnels and viaducts, airports, highways, track and stations for above-ground and underground railways, power stations, sewage treatment and disposal works, water supply works and container terminals. Paul Y Engineering has successfully met tight schedules and complex challenges.


Since the 1950s, Paul Y. Engineering has led the way in the use of pre-stressed concrete for bridges. Four decades later, our design and construction of the Ting Kau Bridge across the Rambler Channel in Hong Kong, one of the world’s longest cable-stayed bridges, underlined our continuing reputation as a pioneer. For the Lamma Power Station, we successfully overcame major reclamation challenges. Another crowning achievement was our extensive contribution to the timely opening of Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok.


Paul Y. Engineering has comprehensive engineering experience in waste water and mass transit transportation tunnels. In Hong Kong, we were responsible for a number of major stations and tunnels for the Mass Transit Railway Corporation’s world-class network.


The Group has completed the design and construction of foundations for a vast range of projects. Our experience embraces major diaphragm wall construction, bored and driven piling, as well as deep basement construction using top-down methods.
