Site Formation – including 22 hectares of reclamation with four million cubic metres of dredging and 3.5 million cubic metres of sandfill; precast vehicular access bridge with bored pile foundation; and cooling water intake and outfall structure construction. The precast concrete structures of the intakes and outfalls were floated in and sunk into their final positions using innovative methods.
2. Unit 9 Combined Cycle Plant, Civil and Building Works, including construction of a main station building for gas turbine & steam turbine generators and auxiliary equipment; supporting structures for transformer, heat recovery steam generator, gas duct and outdoor equipment, and a 110-metre tall chimney; cooling water system and pipe works, road and paving works, drainage and water main systems etc.
3. Cooling Water Outlet Box and Advance Works including a sheet piled cofferdam; excavation for foundations; reinforced concrete structures and associated pipe works.
