Hotel

Altira Macau (Formerly known as Crown Macau)

This project comprised design, building, and comprehensive development of a prestige 36-storey hotel, casino and entertainment complex. As the tallest building on Taipa Island, Altira Macau is uniquely positioned to offer panoramic views of the Macau Peninsula from its spectacular Sky Lobby on Level 38, and every guest room and suite containing expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. The distinctive architectural features on top of the podium are a focal point. The podium's main elevation incorporates full-height glass walls integrating a waterfall feature in front of the glass rotunda. The hotel is covered with a curtain wall featuring special architectural lighting. The lighting effects and colours of the hotel tower synchronise with the lighting features of the casino podium to produce a spectacular light show.
Altira Macau won the Best Casino Interior Design Award in the first International Gaming Awards 2008. It was also the first among hotels and casinos in Macau to receive the Best Interior Design honour, and it was listed in Forbes Traveller's Ten Best Hotel Swimming Pools. Located on the 16th floor, the 25-metre infinity-edge, heated swimming pool overlooks the Macau Peninsula. It features piped-in underwater music and a juice bar to freshen up the swimming experience.
