This project involved construction of a landmark Grade A office tower offering over 1.1 million square feet of office space and comprising twin towers; one containing 36 storeys and the other 34 storeys of office space. A two-storey basement carpark and a five-storey carpark rising from a 35,000-square-foot landscaped garden were also constructed. The tower structures were composed of concrete columns and tensile slabs with core walls, which created spacious floor areas. Curtain walls, inclined at both East and West elevations, enclosed the towers, allowing sufficient natural lighting into the interior.
Conceived in response to increasing demand for energy-efficient offices, Landmark East employs numerous intelligent features for energy-saving. The complex won the Gold Award of CMYA 2008 from CIOB (Hong Kong) and the 2006 Design Merit Award from the Miami chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
