Paul Y. Engineering Wins Merit Award of Quality Building Award 20182018-06-25
Paul Y. Engineering won the Merit Award - Hong Kong Residential (Multiple Buildings) Category of the Quality Building Awards 2018 for construction of The Tanner Hill, the Hong Kong Housing Society's first non-subsidised retirement housing complex.
The Tanner Hill provides complete homecare and healthcare services and other facilities for retired tenants aged 60 or above. It puts into action the concept of “ageing-in-place". As the main contractor, PYE constructed one 29-storey and two 24-storey residential towers providing 588 apartments, an eight-storey podium with residential care accommodation, day-care centre, residence clubhouse, member's club, commercial area, E&M rooms, carpark, and two shuttle lift towers. Upholding the principles of sustainable development, PYE maintained a safe, environmentally friendly and quality environment throughout the work process of the project.
The biennial Quality Building Award gives public recognition to buildings of outstanding quality and demonstrates outstanding teamwork. It also promotes the building industry’s collective commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and competitiveness.
